Soft Bait OEM: Material, Color and Packaging

Soft bait OEM is a combination of shape, material, color and packaging. A buyer may send a photo and ask for a similar bait, but the real product depends on mold, PVC softness, color matching, glitter, scent, oil level and bag sealing. For this reason, sample confirmation is a key step.
Material softness
Softness affects action and durability. A very soft bait may swim better but tear faster. A harder bait may be more durable but have less action. Buyers should define the target market and fishing method before choosing material softness.
Color and glitter
Soft bait colors are difficult to approve only by screen image. Natural, UV, dark, transparent, pearl and glitter effects may look different under different lighting. Physical color samples are strongly recommended, especially for branded ranges.
Scent and oil
Scent and oil level affect retail feel and bag performance. Too much oil may create leakage or messy packaging. Too little may not meet customer expectation. Bag material and sealing should be selected according to oil level.
Mold and shape
If an existing mold can be used, sample time is shorter. New shapes require mold cost and development time. Buyers should consider whether the first order quantity justifies a new mold.
Packaging
Soft baits are often packed in printed bags, clear bags with insert cards or private label bags. Packaging should protect the shape, prevent leakage and show color clearly. Bag size, thickness and sealing should be confirmed before production.
