Custom Packaging Options for Fishing Tackle Brands

Packaging is part of the product experience. A lure, hook, swivel or jig head can be well made, but poor packaging can still damage brand image. For OEM buyers, packaging should be discussed early rather than treated as the final step.
Common packaging types
Fishing tackle commonly uses bulk bags, small PE or OPP bags, printed bags, header cards, blister cards, clamshell packs, insert cards, labels, jars, boxes and export cartons. The right choice depends on product weight, hook protection, display method and budget.
Information needed for private label packaging
- Logo file and brand color.
- Product name, SKU and size.
- Pack count and barcode.
- Warning text, country of origin and language.
- Hanging hole or display requirement.
Packaging MOQ
Packaging MOQ can be different from product MOQ. A first product order may only need a few thousand packs, but printed bags or cards may require higher printing quantities. Buyers should ask about this early to avoid surprise cost.
Artwork approval
Artwork should be approved before mass production is completed. If product is ready but packaging artwork is not approved, shipment can be delayed. For multi-SKU programs, consistent template design can save time.
QC focus
Check print color, barcode, pack count, label, product size, warning text, country of origin and carton marks. For heavy or sharp products, packaging strength should also be reviewed.
